About Me

I’m a Doha-based political science researcher, editor, certified translator and creative writer. I’m a graduate of MA International Relations from the University of Queensland, Australia, and a graduate of BA English Language and Literature from Gaza, Palestine. I also have the equivalent of a grad certificate in Translation Studies from HBKU.

My work experience spans 8+ years of services from copy editing, translation, proofreading to research and marketing at various local, regional and international NGOs, including at the Australia-based Asia-Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect.

I have additionally worked as a freelance translator and editor at Qatar’s Ministry of Finance, Al-Manara Consultancy for academic services as well as on various online platforms, such as Upwork and Scribendi Inc.

My research interests include: foreign policy and diplomacy, alliance-building, geopolitics of small states, political economy and economic development of ‘Third World’ countries, terrorism, militant Jihadism and Islamism.
